Who We Are

We're the Purdy family: Marcus, Adrienna, and our three rambunctious little boys. Northwest Arkansas is our home. We started Humbled Hands as a pottery business in late 2019 to support our foster care and adoption journey.

Marcus is a self-taught potter, learning from high school ceramics class (hi, Ms. Brazil!) and YouTube videos. He considers himself a maker and artisan, focusing on the details of ceramics. Before becoming a full-time potter, Marcus worked in the coffee industry for nine years and craft beer for four. He loves all things outdoors, cooking, and Razorbacks.

Adrienna spends her days teaching special education at a local high school. She discovered a love of glazing when Marcus put a studio in the garage and uses it as a creative outlet as much as possible. She is passionate about building a business that can be a platform for advocating for issues dear to her heart and giving back to the community as much as possible. When she's not teaching, managing the business, or spending time with the kiddos, you can find her taking care of her plants or reading a book.

We would love to connect with you through either espresso or ceramics! Follow us on Instagram, come see us at a market, or book our catering services from our website.
